Being delivered from Astrology happens to be part of my testimony. Some people read it more religiously than they do their Bible (I used to do this before I met the Lord) and considered to be harmless, sadly even by Christians. Ever felt defeated in your Christian walk? By walk, I mean the one that is unseen by those who view your life through a screen.
If you cannot do without reading your daily astrological forecast, know that you have a door wide open to the enemy. The fact that you have the compulsion to read it makes it a stronghold and can be likened to the effect of a person who must have a controlled substance or anyone who cannot go a day without having to smoke a cigarette.
“When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. 10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord; because of these same detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you. 13 You must be blameless before the Lord your God.”
“Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God.”
The horoscope you are reading is put out there by an astrologer, an interpreter of omens. If you still think it is harmless, you need to reassess your commitment to follow Jesus Christ.
“You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.”
1 Corinthians 10:21
Before anyone makes excuses and constrain the verse above to its context of having to do with food sacrificed to idols, it is a plain declaration with application that cannot be denied. It is the same as saying you are a follower of Christ and at the same time thinking it is okay to do satanic practices.
Now that you know, you can no longer invoke ignorance as an excuse. You have a choice to make. Repent and you will be forgiven.
“Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.“
