The Fact Of Life That Is Strife

Same winged creatures, but different characteristics. While they are clearly sharing from the same feeder, strife is inevitable and even more so since birds do not possess a conscience.

“He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife, But he who trusts in the LORD will be prospered.”

Proverbs 28:25 NKJV

Runtime: 1:25 | A House finch intimidates a flycatcher (around 1:03)

“The greedy stir up conflict, but those who trust in the LORD will prosper.”

Proverbs 28:25 NIV

The same verse, but rendered differently. Do they say two different things? It may appear so, but one who is greedy is proud, since greed is a self-seeking characteristic. They are not saying two different things both combined gives us the bigger picture, which is what we are warned here,

Heavenly Versus Demonic Wisdom

“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.”

James 3:13-18

If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.”

1 Timothy 6:3-5

“Now godliness with contentment is great gain.”

1 Timothy 6:6
