The Good Life

“The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

Romans 8:6

“A thief comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.”

John 10:10

This is not an endorsement of the Prosperity gospel which twists the spiritual and translates it to an abundance in a worldly sense thereby ignoring 1 John 2:16,

“For everything in the world–the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life–comes not from the Father but from the world.

The good life is peace in the midst of chaos.

Courage & quiet strength in the midst of assault.

  1. You are correct in your explanation of the passage referring to the word abundance. To have an abundance life here on earth is to be very active in God’s will. That would translate to one’s [abundance] treasure in heaven.
