Happy Resurrection Day!

I know it’s kinda late but… Happy Resurrection Day!

Although every Christian knows what you mean when you say “Happy Easter“, the terminology is derived from a Pagan origin syncretized with our celebration of Jesus Christ’s resurrection. The term is believed to come from a goddess of Spring and for this reason, I am making a deliberate decision to be “weird” and greet people “Happy Resurrection Day” from now on. Terminology aside, let us not forget Jesus’ resurrection substantiates His claim as God and our very hope hinges on the occurrence of this historically recorded event.

“Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. ¹⁸ No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”

John 10:17-18
