The Promise

Took a stroll in downtown Salem yesterday, late in an overcast afternoon and it turns out the flowers and the Cherry Blossoms are already in full bloom.

You are one of a kind

Behold, beauty. Here today. Gone tomorrow.
I said to my husband, “Go get me that beautiful low hanging blossom.”
As I took it home, I only have but a few days until all the blossoms wilt and so I will enjoy it while it lasts.

All life ends in this manner except we humans have the promise of eternity, no longer subject to time and finite existence.

Do you hold to the promise?

A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

    1. Genesis 2:7 tells us God breathed life into man, and through this life coming from God Himself, carried eternity that is why our souls continue to live on, either above or below. Some people choose to challenge this view, but it would be unwise on our part to challenge what’s revealed to us in His Word, which also happens to be “God-breathed” as stated in 2 Timothy 3:16.

I appreciate your comment and thank you.
