“For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.“
Matthew 24:24 NKJV
Nearing up to the coming tribulation do we see rampant deception. With the advances of technology, it is possible to make people say things they never even said or do things they never did. With this machination, it becomes hard to believe anything that we see on any screen. As it is becoming much harder to detect this now, how much more in the future? While this is talking about what is possible in the physical realm, the deluding factor the passage is speaking of is a supernatural one (Revelation 13:4), a much intense version of what we are now experiencing by doing away with everything that has to do with God. To some, the move towards secularism is removed from a spiritual aspect. However, any move away from God is demonic in nature (Revelation 12:9, 2 Corinthians 4:4).
The world we live in is eerily resembling the dystopia in Equilibrium. The world was led to believe their supreme leader was still alive and kicking and though already dead, someone else was broadcasting his likeness to deceive the masses. Will people try to resurrect dead people through this kind of deception? In this day and age, this can definitely be a possibility.
“See, I have told you beforehand. 26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.“
Matthew 24:25-27 NKJV
